Guest Designing @Hndmd

Hello dear friends!

Super happy to share with you that I recently received an opportunity to try out some fabulous products by CrafTangles and guest design!

So, I made a bunch of projects. (Which was so much fun!!)

Here in my blog post you can see one of my favorite projects, fondly called, The Chickie Card.

:) Isn't she super cute?

Of course, I also included some sneak peeks of other projects that you can check out in detail with instructions right: HERE

I'd love to know what you think! :) Have a lovely week ahead! *Hugs*

Saying thanks

Here's a card I made to thank a friend.

Could I have said thanks over a phone or msg? Sure. But for a card maker, there is no better joy than to say it with a card. ^__^

How'd I make it?

A CAS project, I used the Flower Flourish stamp by So Suzy Stamps along with a sentiment stamp by Tim Holtz.

Stamped the flourish and sentiment onto cardstock and tied a ribbon.

The cardstock that you see here is the white textured cardstock sold by PABD. (Peek-a-boo Designs)

Colored parts of flourish using Sakura Pens.

Added glitter to parts of flourish. (I used pva glue and glitter with a thin brush but an easier option is wink of stella!)

Finished it off with a few pastel sequins. (From Craftin' Desert Divas)

And that's it!

Before I sign off, a quick close up :

Sparkly!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

My first ever International swap!!!

Yeah I am quite a regular with them exclamation marks but today.... super psyched!!!

I participated in my first ever International Exchange for papercrafters wherein we had to make a Card (minimum 4 inches by 6 inches), an ATC (standard size of 2.5 by 3.5 inches) and an Inchie (a small tile or circle measuring 1 inch by 1 inch).

So now that my swap partner has received it, here is the happy mail that went from India to US! ^__^

The Christmas card.

Steps :

1. Applied a ready-to-use lace on the cardstock.

2. Layered with a damask design pattern paper. (I distressed the edges using a paper cutter)

3. Stenciled a Christmas Tree, using Tim Holtz Flourish stencil with a little home-made mask.

4. Added beads to the tree + golden star and added white and clear sequins to the edge.

5. Added ribbon and a brad on top RHS.

6. Stamped Happy Christmas, cut it into a small tag and adhered it to the card using a jump ring and ribbon. Also added a tiny star charm to it.

Here's the ATC and Inchies... I admit... I got carried away and made multiple inchies because I was having so much fun!

The ATC and inchies are made using the same color scheme and elements that are used for the card.

I did use some rhinestones, beads, snowflake punch outs, mica flakes and glitter dust on these and jazzed them (ATC + inchies) up a bit. ^__^

I'd love to know what you think!

My style is not exactly vintage chic so I did do a fair bit of research before designing this but I am glad the way the projects turned out and absolutely stoked that my swap partner loved them!

Have a lovely day folks! *Hugs*

Have you seen this yet?

So... I made a couple of projects primarily using the awesome embellishments from Papericious - My Golden Garden Embellishment pack.

This is one of 2 projects, a quick fun card that takes barely 10 - 15 mins to whip up!

The second project is a lovely little wall / room / cupboard / house decor piece that you can make with the help of your kid (yes, it's that easy!)

Hop over here to read all about both the projects AND check out some fun pics!

Incase you were wondering what the second project looks like, here's the picture!
