A quilled thanks

Hello! :)

It is again after a long break that I have got back to paper quilling... I think my last quilled piece was way back in 2012...

Thanks to the Indian Quilling Challenge Group, I was motivated to try quilling once again for a thank you card.

This is for a very special person, who has always been there for me, worrying and caring for me no matter what. :)

I didnt use a lot of embellishments, just some charms, metal and resin, with some baker's twine and U clips because I wanted the heart to be the main focus.

Had a blast making this card. Thank you for stopping by. Have an awesome day!

A photo card

Hello!! :)

Here is another card where I used the colors in the photograph and built the background around it.

It is also the first time that I used Gelatos by Faber Castell. :) I used them on a normal cartridge paper and I must say, loved the way they blended with some water and a few quick swipes of the brush!

Used two different stencils with distress inks, added some silver confetti stars (they might look golden in the photo but they are silver actually), a beautiful die-cut sentiment and voila! :)

Also created a coordinating envelope to go with it.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a sparkly day!

First card of 2015!

Hello, and happy new year! :)

Here is my first card of 2015,  card made for my mum's colleague who is retiring from work.

I finally managed to get my hands on the gorgeous hero arts small solid flower cling stamp! (Been for a really really long time on my to-buy list.)

Out of the sentiments, the word "happy" is from winnie walter's The Big, bold and happy set, the word retirement was after piecing Harold's Abc alphabet set from lawn fawn.

Added a bit of black glitter to the word happy, and a diecut in the corner. :) The ribbon is satin. Also made a matching envelope to go with the card.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
